about

Well, this is it; the final time The Din shared the stage. On the evening of October 21, 2017, we took to the stage at our favourite local gallery, surrounded by a sold-out group of friends, family, and fans alike. The set list for this show had been altered not even 48 hours beforehand, to include a tribute to Gord Downie and a cover of Blow At High Dough, as we mourned his passing just a few days prior. We also weren't planning on playing A Drive Through The Peninsula, but after a triple encore to a screaming crowd, we weren't about to just walk off stage. Hence, our night consisted of 19 songs, and spanned the better part of two hours.

The song performances are completely unaltered, from the live board recording. Emotions were very high, our eyes were burning with sweat and tears, and it was a night we never wanted to end. And you'll hear it, too. From the occasional flubbed note, to Mike's voice cracking as he cries his way through In The Moonlight, to Tammy's guitar coming unplugged at the end of Potato, the human element is on full display. We wouldn't have had it any other way. Enjoy the record, and celebrate our final night with us.

Cheers,
Mike, Brandan, and Tammy of The Din
